Hello,

When connecting the k8096 to the computer the demo mode is automatically "on" (green light) but the inputs buttons are inactive.

When i'm not in demo mode I can run the motor but the inputs (sk5 to sk9) are inactive too.

My pc runs windows10

I tried the microsoft driver and the velleman driver and it's the same.

Sorry for my english

best regards
p vincent

You should post some clear pictures of the top and bottom of the board.
Might be an assembly error

thanks for the answer

I found a wrong soldering at the d1 diode. The blob of sloder under the board touched the unused pad near it.

I repair it but the result is the same, the inputs and demo mode don't work.

I suppose some component to be out of order but i can't find which one

Did you load the drivers?
They can be found here.
http://www.vellemanusa.com/support/downloads/?code=K8096

For Windows 10 you may need to disable the digital signatures.
Follow these instructions.

1. Windows Key + R
2. Enter shutdown.exe /r /o /f /t 00 <- These are Zeros Note the spaces
3. Click the "OK" button
4. System will restart to a "Choose an option" screen
5. Select "Troubleshoot" from "Choose an option" screen
6. Select "Advanced options" from "Troubleshoot" screen
7. Select "Windows Startup Settings" from "Advanced options" screen
8. Click "Restart" button
9. System will restart to "Advanced Boot Options" screen
10. Select "Disable Driver Signature Enforcement"
11. Once the system starts, install the drivers
