Hi,
I'm new to oscilloscopes & needed one that was affordable but had a data logging function.
Does the transient recorder on the GU250 model have any time stamp or time reference?

Thanks
Ian

Yes it has:
Select in the File menu "Auto Save Data" and give name for the file to store the data.
Then click Run button.
Click Run again to stop the recording.
Now all the data is saved to this file. You may open it using Excel or text editor.

Here is an example of such a file:
Code:
START:    4/20/2012   9:46:11 AM

TIME STEP:
100 = 1s

VOLTAGE STEP:
CH1:  32 = 1V
CH2:  32 = 1V

N   CH1   CH2

What's the sweep time of the PCSGU-250's function generator? I can't seem to find it. It's not specified anywhere on any the Velleman-websites. I only found the specs of the PCGU1000 (1ms to 10hours) but I hardly think those apply to the PCSGU-250.

Indeed this information seems to be missing.
The sweep time range of the PCSGU250 function generator is 1ms to 55 hours.
